Cisco Wireless Network / Support Engineer

Technical Requirements:
- Working side-by-side with the existing in-house Network Operations team.
- Experience working with the Cisco Wireless Control System (WCS) (current).
- Cisco Prime Network Control System (NCS) (future client plans).
- Experience updating Wireless Maps.
- Day-to-day network monitoring & wireless network troubleshooting.
- Coordinates with multiple vendors/departments to procure wireless communications-related hardware, software and services.
- Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose moderately complex wireless network problems and their wireline dependencies: Leverages 802.11 diagnostic tools for planning and troubleshooting.
- Monitors the high-level operation of wireless voice and data communications systems and services of supporting vendors.
- Provides ongoing information to management, customers, and peers regarding wireless network enhancements and innovations.
Nice-to-Have Skills (Not Required but Preferred):
- CCNA/CCNP Wireless OR CWNA, CWSP certifications
- RTLS
- Physical and Predictive Survey Experience
- Network security configuration experience (Cisco ACS)
- Familiarity with cutting-edge wireless technology

About the Job:
- The Enterprise Architecture System Architect will define implementation architectures for top projects based on the business needs and the reference architecture.

Job Description:

- The Senior Cisco Voice Architect’s role is to develop and maintain the high-level design plan for overall technical architecture and for customer engagements.
- This position will require strong voice technical skills along with customer interaction.
- This individual will provide technical leadership and consulting across the organization, from strategic decision making down to the project planning level.
- Role will be responsible for providing high-quality, reliable, flexible, and appropriate infrastructure networking technology solutions.
- The Sr. Voice Architect will gain organizational commitment for all high-level infrastructure plans, and initiate and participate in projects to evaluate technologies and methods for implementing these plans.
- Additionally, the Sr. Voice Architect will coordinate operational support and maintenance of the company's in-house telephony voice communication systems.
- Candidate should possess a strong understanding of how contact center applications interface with Cisco data environment and be able to work with non-Cisco vendors to resolve issues. This includes configuring and optimizing all VoIP/IP-PBX telephone systems and services, both internally and those integrated with Internet-based services.
- Also, the Architects mandate will be to maintain SLAs for all organizational IP telephony applications.
- Applies business and technical analytical skills to analyze, identify, design, implement and develop comprehensive support processes to resolve complex business & operational issues involving multi-tiered Cisco IP (internet protocol) Telephony applications.
- Designs Cisco IP Telephony solutions by translating business requirements into project plans thru implementation of Cisco IP Telephony applications including Cisco CVP/ICM (Cisco Voice Portal/Intelligent Contact Manager) Enterprise call routing, Cisco IPCC (IP Contact Center), VXML (Voice Extensible Markup Language) Gateways.
- Applies knowledge of call center operational dynamics as it relates to design, and implementation of ACD (Automatic Call Distribution), CTI (Computer Telephony Integration), Network Routing and Enterprise Reporting utilizing Cisco Unified CCE (Contact Center Enterprise) solutions to solve call center related issues
- Works with various IT development teams to integrate custom-developed and 3rd-party provided software and hardware solutions including software applications, IVR (Interactive Voice Response), Call Center and data base integration with the Cisco IP Telephony infrastructure.
- Prepares documentation and conducts training and user orientation for clients detailing configuration of proposed and deployed solutions.
- Participates, as a key member of the Telecommunications team, in the design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring of core LAN/WAN services required for VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) deployments including QOS (Quality of Service), COS (Class Of Service) VLAN’s (Virtual Local Area Network), SBC’s (Session Border Controller) and SIP (Session Initiated Protocol) Carrier Services.
- Supporting technical sales support efforts with new and existing customers relating to voice architecture and design
- Collaborating with end users and senior management to define business requirements for complex systems development and gain buy-in for all infrastructure plans.
- Developing strong working relationships with all Data Center staff to ensure buy-in to meet critical and often urgent deadlines
- Working with Account Managers to set appropriate and realistic timelines for voice projects and work efforts
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of company’s strategic business plans.
- Providing architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to other internal organizations to support customer requirements.
